The unfortunate situation here is. Even if this was an exjw, this will only reinforce the active JW's within that hall.

son of thunder is saying he has relatives that we're running bethel in egypt for years and they have been let go reassigned as special pioneers yet according to him this job no longer pays a wage.

he also states that 5000 total bethelites world wide are being let go.

Wow. You know something. A psychologist would have a field day here analysing the rheteric being listed here. Although not mentioned here. What I see is John Cedars never lies - Mike and Kim always lie! I see black and whit ethinking is alive and well.
We do know people can make mistakes? And we do know mistakes are corrected, as have been. Unlike cedars who lies about just about everything. Including his not so honest activism 😋
Its a bit like Russia is bad and the US/UK is good when this is not the case when we delve a little deeper.

If all the world were JWs....

in my former indoctrinated state, i used to yearn for a time when all the world would be jws.

but hang on minute, let's just think about what the world would be like if everyone was a jw,.

first of all, no higher education, so no medical advances, no scientific research, no modern day medicine, infectious disease rife, no doctors, no engineers, so no modern day comforts.

Imagine what Facebook would be like!

Instead Of the like button, this would be the marking button.

All posts would be closely scrutinised by "elders," if anyone steps out of line, (like posting a dog picture,) instead of everything watchtower, there would be a cyber visit arranged by two cyber elders. If it is a wanton act of "apostasy" then three elders would be cyber arranged. When your judged to be guilty, you would be banned from, not only Facebook, but the internet!

Poking will be banned, as this may stir up unnatural sexual desire.

A direct "praise us" button to the gobod.

Messenger will be exclusively used for the purpose of "shepherding."

Although dog video's would be a no no, Panda video's and video's of kids playing with Lions and Tigers would be encouraged.

Thoughts during the meeting today

while i'm politely sitting during the meeting today, restraining myself from rolling my eyes as the brother drones on about how "having an independent spirit is devilish in nature" and "independence from gods organization only results in pain and strife", i only have one thought going through my mind over and over.

"what would happen if i pulled out a gun and blew my brains out in this kingdom hall?".

would anyone notice or care?

They would all be collectively thinking, your never going to be resurrected. You took your own life, therefore you hate Jehovah's precious gift of life!

i don't think you'd recognise me much at all.

i'm a royal mail postman, i love my job for the early starts and midday finish, the outdoors and the exercise.. i get on with people but i'm quite insular and don't enjoy crowds.

i'm happiest when i've fired up the charcoal and i'm making souvlaki or adana kebabs for my family and a few close friends.

My online persona is who I am offline. I am not for hiding who I am personality wise. Simply put, what you see is what you get. If you don't like it, not my problem. I'm done with constantly feeling like I need to watch my p's & q's.
I think this is called having self respect. ;)

Also, I would like to add. There are certain individuals within the activist community who are trying to shrug off the huge child abuse problem within the watchtower. Not everyone we may trust is exactly who they say they are, nor are they out to bring down the watchtower, one brick at a time!

Met the new CO (correction officer) this week

he got up several times to correct the servants on lights, sound and speaker stand positioning.

So, really, what the CO is affectively saying is that Geoffrey Jackson lied too!

Netflix Has Jehovah's Blessing Behind It!!!

i am getting sick of the broadcast and how 1 new hall or a few thousand members in an area is "proof" of jehovah's blessing.. we just had a commentor at our wt study that brought out the 1.5% increase and how amazing that is and proof of jehovah's blessing.

not to be a joy kill but if i was invested in a company that was only growing at 1.5% and downsizing everything, i'd be selling that sucker and going short.

it hit it's stock performance peak and is retracting.

What he didn't say is most of thus increase is from developing countries. Countries that are still playing catch up in the communication infrastructure, countries that barely have smart phones, the developing countries that have access to smart phones, however the internet is barely usable!
I still cry when I hear about the poor Filipino's who thought Jehovah would save them if they went to the kingdom hall during one of the worst typhoons in the Philippines history. Did the watchtowers warn their "sheep?" No. The fact the watchtower knew this typhoon was about to hit the Philippines, but chose to do nothing makes me sick! Then they decide to make a propaganda video about it!
This country is one of the many developing countries the watchtower are targeting, in fact, I would hazard a guess that the Philippines is one of the watchtowers best targets!
So, in summery. The growth is coming from the watchtowers insidious policy of targeting vulnerable people in vulnerable countries!
